Localizations for your native language, please contact me. I have
already spoke to one user who graciously accepted the task of
providing a French Localization.
Minor Bug Report...
03/18/08 22:10 | Link
Nothing major, but I need to know if
anyone else has had a problem with OSx360 where a valid ISO was
opened, and a blank DVDR+DL inserted and the burn button remained
disabled even with all the conditions met to burn a disc. The
report came from a user with 10.4 PPC. It was stated that the Intel
build did not have this issue. Similar symptoms can be seen with a
non-blank or non-Dual Layer disk, but this is not the case (The
RROD will be seen if an incorrect disc is inserted as well as
indicated drive status with the issue). Read

Just some catching up...

I have been really excited about
releasing the new beta, yet it seems that I have not been getting a
lot of feedback. I don't know if it is because the software is
working well or what? Please Read on for more news... Read

OSx360 v1.0 Beta 1 Released!
03/12/08 11:04 | Link
Most of the code has now been switched
over to the new build, so I will not delay this release any
further. The main reason is that the Xbox360 invalid TOC entry fix
is preventing some users from burning their games. I still have
much work to do, but now I can push new versions via the Updater.

New Version Delayed...
03/09/08 23:51 | Link
The new version of OSx360 (that I am
now calling v1.0 Beta), has been delayed due to the fact that all
the changes that I have been making are taking longer than expected
and need to be tested before a release. Read on for details...

Crash Report: Invalid Xbox 360 TOC
Entries...
03/01/08 21:36 | Link
Some Xbox 360 Disc Images contain xbox
file systems with invalid TOC entries (Most recently Turning
Point: Fall Of Liberty). This will cause OSx360 to lock up
and eventually crash. You can view your OSx360.log, and if the last
line describes a file, most likely an invalid TOC is the culprit.
This issue has been resolved, but the bug fix is minor and may not
affect all users. If you need an update, please email me to request
the new release and I will post it. Until then, I will most likely
wait until more features have been added to support a new
build.

Just a quick update to those looking
forward to a new version. I hate to put out so many updates, but I
think it would be worse to leave you with no updates for over a
month even though much progress is being made. Read

OSx360 v0.5 Alpha Released!
02/16/08 18:32 | Link
OSx360 v0.5 Alpha is ready for
release. Sorry about the wait... I didn't really know how hard it
would be to learn objective-c/cocoa and create a usable program at
the same time. Here is my newest release, and although iso checking
has not improved much, a lot more has been (mostly compatibility
issues for OS X 10.4 and below).. Read on for some release notes...

OSx360 v0.5 Alpha set to release
tomorrow!
02/16/08 01:17 | Link
I have built a new front end GUI for
both growisofs and Apple's DiscRecording.Framework. It looks real
cool and also checks the media before burning. I have fixed the
memory management bug in the iso verification code. Garbage
Collection is now disabled to allow for builds for Mac OS 10.4 and
below. After some much needed testing, there may be some hope to
allow for this program to work with any mac running OS X 10.0 with
a Dual Layer DVD drive.
I really need some sleep, so I will finish testing tomorrow and upload a new build. I will have a full change log posted with the release.

Released OSx360 0.4 Alpha
02/12/08 14:45 | Link
Here it is folks: It's a little more
polished and with more stealth checks. I rebuilt a lot of code and
optimized it for Mac OS X 10.5, unfortunately prior OS X versions
are left out in the cold. I will be working on fixing some memory
management issues for you guys, but for now I apologize...

Xbox 360 "Unplayable Disc" Errors
using OSx360
02/08/08 20:20 | Link
It seems after days of testing, some
of the games are not loading on the Xbox 360 all the time.
Sometimes they give an "Unplayable Disc" error. I think this might
have been cause by burning at 4x. I will be testing at 2.4x from
now on to minimize the chance of a bad burn. If you have a Mac and
are willing to test various settings it would be appreciated. I
have accumulated a large amount of coasters creating this
software... Read

OSx360 Development Status
02/07/08 19:37 | Link
I have been speaking with RedLine99
over at http://www.xboxhacker.net/ and he has agreed to help me out
with some of the XFS (Xbox File System) methods. I have also had
some open invitations to help with the project. Unfortunately at
this time, it is too early for too much outside assistance. On a
better note, I have fixed the issue I had with a 2GB limit with
NSData classes by breaking the ISO up into it's various structures.
As long one single piece of data doesn't take up more than 2GB, I
should be fine. Even if there is, I can still use this method to
process the data in smaller pieces. I have also created a
functional SS/PFI/DMI extraction code... Read
